Fifty Fifty Brewing Co.
Todd Ashman, Brewmaster

Nick Campbell

This interview is full of great information....enough so that we are making it into two parts. In part 1, we sit down with Todd on the back patio of Fifty Fifty and we discussed a wide range of topics: brewing IPA and Imperial Stout, his brewing history, and how he came to Fifty Fifty Brewing, including how to brew at high altitude.
Todd has a very rich history within the industry. He was barrel aging beers almost 10 years ago. He spent a chunk of time as brewer for Flossmoor Station. He worked for Rahr malting company. Most importantly for those close to Truckee, CA, he made it to Fifty Fifty as their brewmaster. We talk about all of this and more. Check it out.

Nick Campbell, Brewmaster

Nick Campbell

Nick brews some great beers and offers them at a brewpub that is located right off of Interstate 80. Hop off of the freeway at Travis Blvd. and you are right there. Pick up a growler or two of his offerings and take them with you to where ever you are headed. If you have more time, stay for the great food and a pint of one of his specialty beers that you won't see in bottles.
We sat down with Nick on a Friday morning and talked Blue Frog. He goes over his beers and talks about what it takes to brew and bottle in the tighter confines of a brewpub.
